SOLD - WW2 German Reichsbahn High-Ranking Official's Visor Cap

4/22/25 - This is an excellente example of a visor cap for a high-ranking official in the WW2 German Reichsbahn, or railway service. Made by Ludwig Vögele. It is constructed of navy blue wool, the crown of the cap is fully lined by red piping, while the cap band, constructed of black velvet, is also trimmed at the top and bottom with red piping. Pinned into the peak of the cap is a flat gilt second pattern Party style eagle (post-war replacement). Pinned onto the center of the cap band underneath the eagle is a gilt winged wheel. Gold and navy blue bullion cord. Overall, the cap is in excellent condition, but there is wear on the interior sweat liner and some stitching missing from the visor.
