Description

3/27/23 - This is an original Remington 1917 bayonet for a M1917 Enfield rifle or US Trench shotgun. The bayonet blade is maker stamped by Remington with a 1917 date on one side, and a US flaming bomb stamp on the other side. The blade is excellent and unsharpened with a parkerized finish, likely done at an arsenal before being issued during WW2. The repainted scabbard is also a sign that this was sent to a military arsenal before being issued during WW2. The wood handle and metal hilt is in great condition as shown. The original scabbard is also in great shape.
