Description
5/21/25 - This is a rare and desirable Colt Cavalry Single Action Army revolver from 1878. It is matching except for the cylinder, which is numbered "8253". Since it is off by only one digit, and the wear pattern is exactly like the rest of the gun, this could just be a factory error. But we can't say for sure. It has a proper 7.5in barrel. It is "US" Property marked on the frame with "HN" martial markings throughout (even visible on the bottom edge of the right panel). Visible military cartouches on the grip panels, and the left side is dated 1878. This gun is in fair condition for its age, but there is obvious spotty patina throughout. Some of the original case-hardening is visible in the crevices of the frame. Fully functional with all four "clicks". The bore is amazing for its age - shiny with strong rifling. No FFL required.Specifications
