Description

6/12/18 - This is a Mauser BYF 44 P.38 pistol in all original condition, except for the later addition of some post-war British proof stamps. This is most likely from someone wanting to send their captured pistol to the US when the British were cracking down on gun laws in the 1960s. The proofs would have been stamped before export to the US. There are British proofs on the frame, barrel, and slide. The slide is also marked "GERMAN" on one side. The pistol otherwise is a fairly minty gun with only about 2-3% wear. There's some light edge wear and front strap wear. The bore is minty with only minor signs of use. Comes with an original late WW2 Mauser magazine. Original and fully functional.
