SOLD - US Remington M1917 Bayonet (101222-8)

Description

10/12/22 - This is a great example of an original WW1 era Remington M1917 bayonet. This bayonet is suitable for trench shotguns, M1903 rifles, and M1917 rifles. The blade of the bayonet is in great condition overall. The edge is unsharpened but has some minor chips from use closer to the tip. There is minor oxidation and some patches of discoloration throughout the blade. The wooden handle is in good condition overall with minor signs of wear throughout and a small chip closer to the pommel on the right-hand side grip. The left ricasso is dated and maker marked "1917 Remington". The right side is ordnance and proof stamped. The included scabbard is in great condition overall with no major defects or blemishes, but there is minor oxidation and signs of wear here and there. The leather is fully intact and sturdy. Overall a very nice add to a M1903 or M1917 rifle or a WW1 trench shotgun.
