Description

12/1/21 - This is an original WW1 production Gewehr 98 Rifle bayonet. Also known as a "butcher bayonet". The blade has dark oxidation and patina throughout. There's also some signs of sharpening along the blade edge. The spine of the blade is imperial proof stamped, and the base is maker stamped by Weyersberg. The wood handle has mild signs of aging but no cracks or chips. There's patina throughout the metal fittings. comes with an original scabbard that has patina throughout but no dents.
