Description
4/6/22 - This is an original Springfield 1903 Mark 1 rifle made in 1920. The side of the receiver has a slot for a Pederson device attachment. This rifle was made post-WW1 and at some point was sent to Greece as part of a Lend-Lease program. The "B" stamped on the floorplate, and numbering on the bolt handle are both indicative of a "Greek return" rifle. After returning the the US, this rifle was sold through the CMP. The barrel date and serial number indicate this is the original barrel and receiver, which is a plus. The stock is a 1903-A3 version from the WW2 era. The black finish is excellent throughout the metal parts with no rust or pitting and minimal finish loss. The bore is beautiful and shiny with strong rifling and minimal wear, 9/10 overall. Comes with a spare bolt from the CMP as well (still in the original wax paper).Specifications
