Description
11/19/21 - This is an excellent example of a Model 1911 pistol issued to the US military during WW1. The frame was made by Colt, and the serial number dates to 1914. It is "United States Property"-marked and has the proper military inspector initials on the left side of the frame. The slide was made by Remington UMC. the rarest of all of the WW1 Model 1911 manufacturers. It has an "S P" marked Springfield barrel. The entire gun was arsenal-refinished and parkerized. No arsenal markings. It has retained about 97% of its new finish with hints of wear on some of the high edges and areas of minor wear at the very front edge of the frame and on the back strap. Noticeable pin-pricking on the front strap. Comes with nice wood grips and a refinished post-war magazine. The bore has good rifling with some areas of minor pin-pricking.Specifications
