Description

12/13/21 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1916. The slide legend on the left side of the slide has a factory double-stamp, giving it a very cool "shadowed" appearance. Comes with a Springfield barrel that has been polished around the ejection port. The gun has retained about 92% of its original Colt bluing. There are areas of somewhat scratchy wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide, around the muzzle, and on the front strap. Very minor thinning on rear grip safety. Some very light scratches/handling marks here and there. Comes with very nice period-correct wood grips (minor bruising here and there) and a two-tone magazine with lanyard loop. The bore is near-mint.
