Description
1/3/22 - This is an excellent example of a DWM Luger with an interesting history. It was originally issued to the Imperial German Navy during WW1, as indicated by the "Crown M" Navy proofs, "O.1106" Navy property marking on the front strap, and the altered Navy-style safety. The chamber has a "1920" government property marking, indicating this gun remained in government service after WW1 and was likely reworked for subsequent police issue. Navy lugers usually have a 5 inch barrel, so this one was either shortened or replaced. This one is all matching and has retained about 97% of its finish. There areas of very minor wear on the side plate, very front edges of the frame, and around the muzzle. There are a few light scratches on the left side of the frame and some light handling marks on the front strap. The right grip panel is numbered and matching. Both grips have some bruising, and there is a chip in the top corner of the left panel. Comes with a mismatched WW2-era magazine. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
