Description
10/7/26 - This is a very nice example of a Webley Mark VI revolver issued to the British military in 1916. It is all matching with the proper British military acceptance proofs throughout. It was originally chambered in .455, but the cylinder has been shaved to accept .45 ACP. The original finish rates about 92%, with general high edge wear and an area of wear on the underside of the trigger guard. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is some light spotty surface rust along the barrel, areas of light spotty oxidation here and there, and some brown patina on the grip straps and trigger guard. The lanyard loop at the butt of the frame is missing. Fitted with period-correct brownish hard rubber grips - one tiny chip on the left side and a few small dings on both sides. Minty bore. A WWI-era British service revolver that retains much of its original finish.
