Description
9/23/25 - This is a WW2 Nazi rework of a World War 1 DWM luger. The HZAJT3 stamping indicates rework by the HeeresZuegAmt (Army Depot) at Ingolstadt. This gun started as an artillery model (LP08) in 1918 and was converted by the HZA sometime in the late 1930's by replacing the barrel with a Mauser spare, marked S/42 and correctly serial numbered. It is all matching, and retains roughly 75% of its bluing - there is obvious wear, discoloration, and patina throughout. The bore has good rifling, but there is noticeable freckling throughout. It comes with a black plastic bottom wartime "black widow" FXO magazine that has a small chip in it. Since it exhibits no police modifications, the gun likely went into Army/SS service. These pistols are somewhat scarce and are a reflection of the German's continued need of small arms from a variety of sources throughout the war. The hold-open does not work properly with this magazine.
