Description
10/5/26 - This is a very nice example of an Erfurt Luger originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1918, as evidenced by the Imperial proofs on the right side of the receiver. It was reworked after the war and issued to the Weimar-era German police, as evidenced by the added police sear safety, and there are small crown/RC markings here and there. The gun is mostly matching - the firing pin is mismatched, and the rear toggle pin has been renumbered to match (common for arsenal reworked guns). It comes with a matching police arsenal-numbered magazine. The finish rates about 94%, with an area of wear on the left side of the frame, minor high edge wear, areas of spotty oxidation on the grip straps, and minor oxidation on the barrel. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips - small chip in the upper left corner of the left panel. The bore has great rifling, but there is some frosting in the grooves. A solid Erfurt Luger that carries both Imperial and Weimar police history.
