Description
10/2/26 - This is a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US Army in 1918. It is all correct with the proper markings, including an "Eagle Head S12" military acceptance proof on the left side of the frame. It also has a proper "intertwined HP" marked barrel. The original finish rates less than 10%, with obvious and honest finish loss throughout and heavy spotty brown patina on the whole gun. Fitted with nice period-correct checkered wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone Colt magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there are some spots of oxidation and pin-pricking. An honest, all-correct WWI Colt that wears its service history.
