Description
3/24/22 - This is a near-mint example of an East German unlicensed copy of the Walther PP. Known as the Model P1001, these guns were made in the Ernst Thalmann factory in the 1950's. They were most often issued to the East German police and military forces. It is matching, has an import mark on the left side of the frame, and has a Hammerli export marking on the right side of the frame. It comes as a rig with a minty brown leather holster and two matching hand-numbered magazines. The gun has retained virtually all of its finish except for some light spotty wear on the back strap. Comes with excellent East German grips that lack the Walther banner. The bore is mint.Specifications
