Description
3/25/22 - This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 44 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is almost entirely matching (except for the rear sight), and the original Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been defaced. The serial numbering on the receiver is very faint. It comes with the original folding bayonet and a period-correct US M1 carbine sling. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. There isn't much actual finish loss, but there is freckling on most of the metal parts. Heavy brown patina on the butt plate. The stock is in nice condition with only minor dings and scratches throughout. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with minor pitting in the grooves.Specifications
