Description
7/17/22 - This is a very nice example of a late-war Ithaca Model 1911A1 issued to the US military toward the end of the war, in 1945. It is "United States Property" marked, has a cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame, and has the proper "FJA" inspector initials. Also has a proper Flannery barrel. Overall, the gun has retained about 80% of its original finish. There is general thinning throughout, but the finish loss is most noticeable on the front strap. Minor wear on some of the high edges and some minor discoloration on both sides of the slide. Comes with very nice period-correct plastic grips and an "S" marked magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.Specifications
