Description
8/26/22 - This is a fairly rare Astra Model 900 that was manufactured sometime in the early to mid 1930's. The Astra 900 was a pistol developed to take advantage of a large Chinese demand for semiauto pistols with shoulder stocks, following the massive sales of the Mauser C96 in that country. There was a loophole in the international treaty accords that stocked pistols were not considered military arms, so civil war in China had a huge market for arms that this variant was able to meet. There were only ~21,000 of these pistols produced. Large ring hammer and 1000 meter tangent sight. It is all matching and has the proper Spanish proofs. Import mark on the underside of the barrel. This particular gun has lost the majority of its original finish with obvious wear throughout. There are areas of pin-pricking and tiny dots of oxidation throughout and a few small spots of minor pitting on the left side of the frame. Comes with matching-numbered wood grips with some noticeable bruising. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
