Description
8/2/23 - This is a fairly rare Astra Model 900 that was manufactured sometime in the early to mid 1930's. The Astra 900 was a pistol developed to take advantage of a large Chinese demand for semiauto pistols with shoulder stocks, following the massive sales of the Mauser C96 in that country. There was a loophole in the international treaty accords that stocked pistols were not considered military arms, so civil war in China had a huge market for arms that this variant was able to meet. There were only ~21,000 of these pistols produced. Large ring hammer and 1000 meter tangent sight. This one is mismatched and has retained roughly half of its original finish. There is obvious spotty wear and tiny pitting throughout. The finish loss is concentrated mostly on the top half of the gun. Brown patina on the grip straps. Fitted with fairly worn matching-numbered wood grips. Excellent bore. The lanyard ring is missing. Import mark on the left side of the frame.Specifications
