Description
9/20/22 - Between 1926 and May of 1940, nearly 60,000 FN Browning M1922 pistols were shipped to the Netherlands and designated Pistool M25 No.2 by the Koninklijke Landmacht. These pistols feature a large Crown/W proof on the slide for Queen Wilhelmina. While 60,000 would suggest a somewhat common pistol, the survival rate on these is relatively low as we only receive one or two per year. This one is all matching and has the proper Dutch "Crown J" proof on the tang. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. Most of the wear is around the muzzle, but there is also minor wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide, light scratchy wear on the front strap, and minor thinning on the back strap. Comes with very nice black bakelite grips and a numbered magazine that is not matching to the gun. The lanyard ring on the left side of the frame is missing. The bore shows a very slight bulge in the barrel. Otherwise, the bore is excellent with strong rifling.Specifications
