Description
5/9/24 - Between 1926 and May of 1940, nearly 60,000 FN Browning M1922 pistols were shipped to the Netherlands and designated Pistool M25 No.2 by the Koninklijke Landmacht. These pistols feature a large Crown/W proof on the slide for Queen Wilhelmina. While 60,000 would suggest a somewhat common pistol, the survival rate on these is relatively low as we only receive one or two per year. This one is all matching and has the proper Dutch "Crown J" proof on the tang. It comes as a rig with a proper tan leather holster (a few stitches missing around the toe) and two non-Dutch magazines. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. The majority of the wear is on the front strap and around the muzzle. Fitted with black bakelite grips. Excellent bore.Specifications
