Description
10/12/22 - This is a Springfield M1 Garand sold to the public as a part of the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It comes with an original matching-number CMP certificate and CMP and matching-numbered CMP hang tag. The receiver dates to the 1950's. The barrel is marked SA and dated March of 1963. This gun is considered "Rack Grade". There is not a lot of actual finish loss, but there is very minor pin-pricking on the receiver, some minor pitting under the finish on the gas tube, and brown patina on the floor plate / trigger group. The stock is excellent, but there are a few noticeable dents in the upper hand guard. The front hand guard was replaced. There is a stamped rack number on the underside of the butt stock. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.Specifications
