Description
11/7/22 - This is a rare Walther P.38 with 480 code on slide and frame. The 480 code pistols were the first serially produced P.38s made by Walther. There were only 7,300 produced, and this one has the earlier, round lanyard ring. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained roughly 80% of its original high polish finish. There is wear around the muzzle and along both sides of the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Light spotty wear on the front strap. Some spotty discoloration and light scratching on the right side of the slide. The grips and magazine are matching numbered to the pistol but both are force-matched. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout.Specifications
