Description
11/7/22 - This is a near-mint example of a scarce AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. What makes this one scarce is the capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lower case "a" die was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has a late-war cog-style hammer and some phosphate-finished small parts (typical for these late-war guns). It has retained nearly all of its finish with very minor wear around the muzzle and very front edges of the slide. Some tiny handling marks here and there. Comes with excellent reddish-brown bakelite grips and a rare late-war "U" marked Walther magazine. Factory-new bore. De-cocker is functional.Specifications
