Description
4/24/23 - This is a near-mint example of a scarce AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. What makes this one scarce is the capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lower case "a" die was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has proper late war features, such as some phosphate small parts and cog-style hammer. It comes as a rig with a 1944-dated pebble grain holster and two period-correct jvd magazines. It has retained nearly all of its original finish with just hints of wear on some of the high edges and some very minor thinning on the front strap. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.Specifications
