Description
12/29/22 - This is a very nice example of a Hembrug Model 1895 Cavalry Carbine issued to the Dutch military in 1918. It is all matching except for the bolt and has the proper proof marks throughout. The right side of the butt stock is dated 1918 and has the proper "Crown W" Queen Wilhelmina crest. The gun has retained about 90% of its bluing. The majority of the wear is along the barrel, where there is also some spotty oxidation. Spotty brown patina and some tiny dings on the butt plate. A couple of very small dents in the floor plate. There is no major damage to the wood, but there are bruises and scratches throughout. The bore has good rifling with very minor pin-pricking in the grooves. No import marks.Specifications
