Description
12/19/22 - This is a rare Springfield Armory Model 1911 issued to the US military during WW1. It is "United States Property" marked, has the proper Springfield Eagle on the right side of the slide, and has flaming bomb military acceptance proofs. It has a correct Springfield barrel, but many of the small parts are not "S" marked. The gun has lost most of its original finish. There are areas of obvious spotty finish loss throughout and areas of spotty oxidation and pin-pricking - most noticeable on the slide and on both grip straps. Fitted with nice wood grips - the right side shows more signs of wear than the left. Comes with a period-correct magazine with a lanyard ring. The bore has noticeable pitting throughout.Specifications
