Description
2/21/23 - This is an excellent example of a WW1-era Model 1911 that was manufactured in 1919 but was later reworked, likely for re-issue during WW2. The frame was made by Remington UMC and has the proper "EEC" inspection initials. The slide is a Savage-made replacement. The barrel is a WW2-era Colt .45 Auto barrel with a large "G" under the lug. There is an "AA" marking on the left side of the frame, indicating this gun was reworked at the Augusta Arsenal. At the arsenal, the entire gun was parkerized. It comes fitted with a set of nice WW2-era reddish plastic grips and comes with a WW2-era "L" marked magazine. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.Specifications
