Description
4/4/23 - This is a nice example of a 1911A1 put together from parts. The frame was made by Remington Rand and dates to 1942-43. Period-correct Ithaca slide. The barrel is a replacement. The frame has the proper military acceptance proofs. There is a "58" electro-pencil numbering on the right side of the tang. The gun has retained about 92% of its finish. There isn't a ton of actual finish loss, but there is light, somewhat scratchy wear throughout, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Fitted with nice period-correct reddish plastic grips - slightly worn on the left side. Comes with one post-war magazine. Minty bore. This gun would make a fantastic shooter.Specifications
