Description

7/25/23 - This is a scarce AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. What makes this one scarce is the capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lower case "a" die was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has proper late war cog-style hammer. The gun has a dark "Russian-dipped" finish. No signs of finish loss. Fitted with excellent period-correct reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a scarce late-war "U" marked Walther magazine. Excellent bore with great rifling. De-cocker is functional.
