Description
8/31/23 - This is an excellent example of a Swedish Mauser Carl Gustafs Model 1896, manufactured in 1916 and chambered in 6.5mm Swedish. These were civilian rifles built on the Swedish Mauser action. They were competition/target guns used by members of the Swedish Volunteer Sharpshooting Movement, Frivilliga Skytterorelsen (FSR). The bolt is mismatched, the rear sight was removed, and an adjustable PRAMM rear sight was added. The metal parts have retained about 95% of their finish with some bluing loss on the floor plate / trigger group and some oxidation on the barrel. Minty wood stock that was likely sanded and is missing the stock disc. Very nice bore with good rifling and very minor frosting throughout. Import mark on the right side of the receiver.Specifications
