11/3/23 - This is a nice London Small Arms SHTLE III rifle issued to the British military in 1913. All matching with the proper British proofs throughout. England export mark on the receiver. No legible numbering on the stock. The stock disc is likely a replacement. The finish on the metal rates about 90%. While there is not much actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina throughout. The wood shows minor bruising and scratching throughout with a small hairline crack in the upper handguard in front of the receiver. Minty bore.
