SOLD - 1913 Enfield SHTLE III - With Bayonet & Scabbard

9/18/23 - This is a nice example of an Enfield SHTLE III issued to the British military in 1913. Most of the gun is matching, but the bolt is mismatched. However the rifle still retains its magazine cutoff, a feature removed from later issue rifles. Import mark on the right side of the receiver. It also comes with a 1907 dated, nickel-plated bayonet and scabbard. The metal parts of the gun have retained roughly 80% of their original finish. There is general high edge wear and wear around the muzzle. Areas of thinning on the barrel bands and on the magazine. Most of the metal parts have minor pin-pricking, but there is some oxidation and minor pitting on the magazine. No major damage to the wood furniture, but there are small dings and scratches throughout. Some symbols scratched onto the left side of the butt stock. The bore has good rifling, but there are some areas of pitting here and there.
