Description

5/20/24 - This is a Chinese-made Mauser 98, used during the Chinese Civil Wars between WWI and WW2. Chinese arsenal marking on the chamber and a Chinese seal on the right side of the butt stock. Most of the gun is matching, but the bolt is mismatched. The metal parts are covered in obvious oxidation and minor pitting. The stock is pretty beat-up - signs of obvious wear and use throughout. There are a couple of hairline cracks in the butt stock - nothing structural. The condition of the bore is poor - very worn rifling with heavy pitting throughout.
