Description

4/22/24 - This is a very nice example of a Harpers Ferry Model 1842 musket, manufactured in 1846 and chambered in .69 caliber. The right side of the lock has an Eagle seal and a "US" property marking. "US" marking on the butt plate as well. Military proofs on the barrel with visible inspection cartouches on the left side of the stock. The gun is in very condition overall. There is no finish on the metal parts with light spotty brown patina here and there. Nice wood overall with some more noticeable scratches on the right side of the butt stock. Very nice bore for its age. Fully functional. Comes with an original "US" marked bayonet.
