Description

7/23/24 - This is a scarce AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. What makes this one scarce is the capital "A" suffix on the frame and locking block. Only about 5,000 guns feature this oddity. It is believed that, for a short period of time in 1945, the lower case "a" die was broken or unavailable, so the Walther factory was forced to use the capital "A". This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. The finish rates about 90% with the majority of the wear is on the front strap. Minty bore. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. It comes as a rig with a scarce 1944-dated "Bearskin Oakleaf 9" soft shell holster and two "Eagle 359" magazines - one of the magazines is "ac" marked. De-cocker is functional.
