Description
9/30/24 - This is a rare Walther P.38 with 480 code on slide and frame. The 480 code pistols were the first serially produced P.38s made by Walther. There were only 7,300 produced, and this one has the earlier, round lanyard ring. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with both of its original matching-numbered magazines and a 1940-dated hard shell holster. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish bluing. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and areas of finish loss on the right side of the slide and on the front strap. Fitted with excellent waffen-proofed and matching-numbered (666) bakelite Walther grips. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.Specifications
