Description
11/27/24 - This is a rare and desirable FN Browning M1910 pistol from the World War II era. To supplement Japanese arms production, many private gun shops and manufacturers, as well as the Japanese government, purchased handguns in a variety of calibers and models. These arms were to be individually purchased by officers or qualifying citizens, so small, unobtrusive items such as the Colt 1903 or FN 1910 became popular. These were also some of the more expensive options, going for 100 yen at the "gun counter", with the Baby Nambu being the most expensive option. These pistols, and this particular pistol, were 'Dai' marked on the frame. It comes as a rig with one period-correct magazine and a proper Japanese tan leather holster with shoulder strap - the leather is a bit frail throughout with a hole around the closure strap and a rip on the seam of the top flap. The gun's finish rates about 93%. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is an area of oxidation and tiny pitting on the left side of the muzzle. Fitted with period-correct horn grips - a few small bore holes on the right side. Excellent, shiny bore.Specifications
