Description

2/17/25 - This is a rare military 1911, made at Springfield Armory. Issued to the US military during WWI. One of only ~30k produced at Springfield for WW1. The left side of the frame is "United States Property" marked. It also has flaming bomb military proofs on the left side of the slide and frame and the iconic Springfield eagle on the right side of the slide. All of the parts (down to all of the small parts) are "S" marked with a correct Springfield barrel. The finish rates roughly 65-70% with some thinning and spotty brown patina throughout. There are some areas of cold blue touch-up. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with two correct lanyard loop magazines. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting in the grooves.
