Description

3/21/25 - This is a nice example of a rare and early Mauser C96 with large ring hammer. Made in 1903, the pistol is all matching and original. There are British export proofs on the right side of the barrel. It has retained roughly 75% of its original finish. There are areas of thinning throughout with some spotty brown patina. There are some spots of tiny pitting on the barrel and some light pin-pricking on the grip straps. We were not able to remove the grips because the escutcheon spins with the screw. The rifling in the bore is considerably worn with pin-pricking throughout.
