5/29/25 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1917. All correct with a proper "H P" Colt barrel. It comes with a Colt Factory Letter that states it was delivered to the a Commanding Officer at the Springfield Amory in Springfield, Massachusetts on May 28, 1917. It has retained roughly 65-70% of its finish with noticeable thinning and light brown patina throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has good rifling with just light frosting in the grooves.
