Description
1/30/25 - This is a gorgeous example of a scarce, original Smith & Wesson Triple Lock, Hand Ejector, 1st Model revolver. Considered by many, including Elmer Keith, to be the finest revolver ever made. Its popular name refers to its extra (third) locking lug on the cylinder crane. This example was originally chambered in .455 as it was ordered by the Brits for WWI due to shortages with Webley. It has British proofs but was later modified to .45LC. This particular gun is in fantastic condition with minor wear on the muzzle end of the barrel and a little on the grip frame. Mint bore and smooth mechanically. Minor roll mark on cylinder. Excellent service grips but not numbered to the gun.Specifications
