Description

10/30/23 - This is an excellent condition Swedish Mauser M38/96 made at the Carl Gustafs Arsenal. These rifles originally started as M1896 infantry rifles but were cutdown to match m38 lengths. The rifle retains 99% of its original finish with the only finish loss around the muzzle. The rifle is completely matching on the receiver, bolt, bolt rear, safety, bolt release, magazine floor, barrel band, nose cap, rear sight ladder, slider and lock, and buttplate. The cleaning rod has no serial number. The bore is in great condition being very bright and sharp rifling but gets a little frosted towards the muzzle. The muzzle did not get threaded for a training device like most Swedish Mausers. This rifle also comes with a M1896 bayonet.
