02/12/2024 - For sale is a Kar 88 carbine manufactured in 1890 by VC Schilling Suhl. The Kar 88 is a carbine version of the Gewehr 1888 rifle and was used by rear-echelon soldiers. This example does not match. The bore is bright but fogged over and has good rifling. The rifle has patina throughout its metal parts but many of the parts retain their original bluing. The wood stock is sound and free of damage.
