10/8/21 - This is one of the nicest Springfield 1911s that we have ever offered for sale. It retains about 92-93% of the original blue finish with no rust or pitting. The pistol is all matching and correct as every part has the proper "S" proof, including the original barrel. The grips are original Springfield with the 11 row large diamond pattern. The condition of the grips matches the condition of the gun with just a few dings or wear spots on them. Incredibly, the bore is near mint condition. It has the correct P on the left lug and the S mark on the right lug, with an additional S on the rear chamber hood. The correct and original magazine has the folded lip and loop on the bottom, with nice case colors on the dual toned tube of the magazine. Correct copper at the top spine of the magazine. This is one you have been waiting for if you are an advanced 1911 collector. These are very rare to find in such a nice condition with all correct, original parts.
