3/25/25 - For sale is an original model of 1895 Chilean Mauser. This rifle has some rust on the top parts of the barrel and the magazine floor plate; however, the bolt and receiver are relatively clean, and the receiver retains a fair amount of the blued finish. We rate the finish at 60%. The bore is on the darker side with some pitting towards the muzzle end and gradually gets shinier the closer you get to the breach. We rate the bore a 6.5/10. The wood furniture has a fair amount of dings and the occasional small chips but is free from splits or cracks. The magazine floor plate is the only part of the rifle that matches the receiver. The bolt has all matching parts to itself, and interestingly, the serial number on the bolt is from the A block(Same As The Receiver) but has an earlier serial number. There was a fair amount of cosmoline covering the bolt and the receiver, so there is very little corrosion anywhere in those areas. This rifle is fully functional and has a nice, smooth action. Rifle is also an antique and does not need an FFL; ships straight to your door.
