2/9/18 - This is a beautiful example of a Colt Model 1877 revolver, also referred to as the Colt Lightning.  Manufactured in 1892, this revolver includes the Colt Factory letter with the listing.  The high-polish blue rates in the mid  90's with beautiful barrel and profile but patina on the back of the frame.   Nice case-hardening remains and the grips are example.  Bore is strong with no major flaws.  Tight action and mechanically correct. This is the nicest Colt Lightening we have ever offered.!  No license required for this purchase.
