Description
08/10/26 - For sale is a Remington Model 1863 Zouave rifle chambered in .58 Caliber made for the Union Army during the US Civil War. These rifles were made from 1863 to 1864 but were either not issued/used in combat or were very seldom used. These rifles are often found in excellent condition. This rifle is one of them, with a very nice blued finish on the barrel. The lockplate and hammer have a bright "in the white" finish, and the brass is bright. The stock is in great shape without any cracks or breaks. The bore is very bright with strong rifling. The rifle comes with an original blade bayonet. The blade appears to have been cleaned, but the rest is in great shape. The crossguard has an L and C, and the back of the grip is stamped B.H. The scabbard is mostly in good shape, but there is a large crack from the leather drying out on one side.
