Description
11/08/24 - For sale is a K98k made by Mauser that was modified by a previous owner to mimic a paratrooper takedown trials rifle. The metal on the rifle retains a lot of its bluing but has many spots touched up with cold blue and other is some pitting on the top of the receiver. The stock of the rifle was cut in half and modified to look like the paratrooper rifles tested in trials. Metal end pieces were installed on each half of the stock along with a lever that locks the two halves in place. The barrel uses an interrupting thread system to hold it to the receiver. There looks to be a lot of epoxy used to seal many of the gaps. The bolt looks to be renumbered to the receiver. The stock had been sanded and oiled. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling. There is a lot of surface rust on the buttplate.Specifications
