Description
3/1/24 - This is a rare variation, 1st pattern German Army DAK Pith Helmet from WW2. The helmet features a cork brim and is in great overall condition with some natural patina and aging throughout. The exterior of the helmet has both original decals securely attached. The exterior brown linen has some mild stains but no major issues. The original leather chin strap is excellent, and the leather lining around the brim edge is excellent. The cork brim / skeleton of this helmet has mild pliability due to age, but is completely intact and not breaking down or falling apart (as they often are). The interior leather headband shows use wear and light tattering along the edges. The interior crown is maker stamped along with "D.R.G.M." for military issue. A very nice, early example.Specifications
